New participants should bring Red Heart Super Saver Worsted Yarn, Size 8 Knitting Needles, Size G or H Crochet Hook with them to class. Please remember late arrivals do not extend the class meeting time and if no participants have arrived 15-minutes after the scheduled start time, the session will be canceled.

In-Person Registration Required. Registration is for all dates. Library Staff: Dr. Molly Smith PhD. Paper quilling is the art of cutting paper into long thin strips, rolling and pinching the pieces into different shapes, and then gluing the shapes together to form decorative art. A new paper quilling theme will be presented each session. Themes may include holidays, birthdays, or general greeting cards. Each new participant will receive a set of supplies including quilling tools, cards, and precut paper. Course and supplies are supported by funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Per CDBG guidelines, CDBG programs are only open to Lighthouse Point residents ages 62 and over.

Online Registration is required. The introduction to every captivating book is its cover. This program lets teen and tween artists bring their favorite real or imagined tales to life. Students will learn basic color pencils techniques as well as a better understanding of graphic design elements present in book covers including typography, images, and color. For each class students will work on a different book genre. In program art supplies will be provided. Supported by the Friends of the Lighthouse Point Library.
