Participants are pulled from the waitlist by lottery. Open to Lighthouse Point residents ages 62 and over.

Newborn to 18 months Online Registration Required. This event is part of a combined series. If you register for this event, you will be automatically registered for the following dates listed in this series. Join Dr. Molly for a special time to bond with your child! Begin building early learning skills through the joys of movement, books, and song. Library storytime may include short stories, songs, finger play, flannel boards, crafts, or other educational elements including bilingual English/Spanish vocabulary. Programs are designed to teach social skills, listening comprehension, letter/number recognition, vocabulary, and to build a foundation for lifelong reading success. Program length, stories, and activities are geared toward the target audience. Adult caregivers must remain with their child at all times. In-Person at the Library Max. Cap. 12

Registration is required. Presented by Library Volunteer Nancy Crockett. Learn to knit or crochet from lifelong yarn artist and library volunteer! New participants should bring Red Heart Super Saver Worsted Yarn, Size 8 Knitting Needles, Size G or H Crochet Hook with them to class. In-Person Registration Required. Registration is for all dates. Library Staff: Dr. Molly Smith PhD. Paper quilling is the art of cutting paper into long thin strips, rolling and pinching the pieces into different shapes, and then gluing the shapes together to form decorative art. A new paper quilling theme will be presented each session. Themes may include holidays, birthdays, or general greeting cards. Each new participant will receive a set of supplies including quilling tools, cards, and precut paper. Course and supplies are supported by funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Per CDBG guidelines, CDBG programs are only open to Lighthouse Point residents ages 62 and over.

The Lighthouse Point Library is helping deliver mail to the North Pole! You can mail your letter to Santa using a mailbox located in the Library's Youth Room. Then watch your home mailbox for a personal response from Santa! Don’t forget to include your address so Santa can write you back! Santa's Mailbox will be available from November 14 - December 11.
