Participants should bring a yoga mat, yoga block, towel, and water to each class. Participants who have completed three or more CDBG yoga sessions during this season, may request a take-home yoga mat and blocks (for home practice). All class updates will be sent via email. CDBG Paper Quilling: Holiday Ornaments

Event Details:
In-Person Registration Required. Registration is for all dates. Library Staff: Dr. Molly Smith PhD. Paper quilling is the art of cutting paper into long thin strips, rolling and pinching the pieces into different shapes, and then gluing the shapes together to form decorative art. A new paper quilling theme will be presented each session. Themes may include holidays, birthdays, or general greeting cards. Each new participant will receive a set of supplies including quilling tools, cards, and precut paper. Course and supplies are supported by funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Per CDBG guidelines, CDBG programs are only open to Lighthouse Point residents ages 62 and over.
Holiday Ornaments New and returning paper artists will learn quilling techniques to create holiday ornaments.

Color a Smile Teen Volunteering

Volunteer steps. - Register for Color A Smile Teen Volunteering at lighthousepointlibrary.com. Teens must have a Lighthouse Point Library card to register and participate.
- Print a coloring page from the website www.colorasmile.org. Only coloring pages from this website are accepted.
- Color the page using crayons or markers (no glitter).
- Color up to 18 pages per quarter. 6 pages = 1 hour. 12 pages = 2 hours. 18 pages = 3 hours.
- Request an appointment to submit the coloring pages to the Lighthouse Point Library Youth Wing before the deadline for that quarter. Appointment requests should be emailed to library@lighthousepoint.com.
- All coloring pages must be submitted together (not one at a time).
- Tracking school volunteer requirements are each teen’s responsibility. Student should bring all school volunteer forms and information to their appointment with library staff.
- Library staff will mail the coloring pages to Color A Smile PO Box 1516 Morristown, NJ 07962-1516. Postage is supported by the Friends of the Library.

City Commission Appointed Members: Nancy Cohen (Chair), Victoria Anderson, Carolyn Bergamini, Mary D’Angelo, Linda Hinkle, James L. Neff, and Sandra Trentacoste. With the support of library staff, the Library Advisory Board reviews library operations, policies, programs, collections, budgets, and planning. The 6:30pm meeting time is set by City policy and a quorum of four members is required for each session. Meetings are in the library and are open to the public. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, anyone requiring special accommodations to participate in this meeting is asked to advise the City Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the meeting at 954-943-6500. City Hall is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available.
